MCHR and Gospel Tabernacle Church are committed to restore and revitalize this Detroit park, located near 8 Mile and Greenfield in NW Detroit, which honors the life and sacrifice of Detroit’s Viola Liuzzo. Mrs. Liuzzo was murdered by the KKK in Lowndes County, Alabama during the Civil Rights Era, while working with the organizers of the march on Selma.
Dean Robb, Esq., civil rights attorney for the Liuzzo Family, will speak at a fundraising event for the park revitalization project on the following date and location:
Tuesday, April 14 at 7 pm
