The Center for Community Based Enterprise, along with MCHR, is co-sponsoring a talk by Dr. Jessica Gordon Nembhard on 8/17.The Dr. Nembhard recently published “Collective Courage: A History of African American Cooperative Economic Thought and Practice”, and will be speaking about the role of cooperatives in the revival of Detroit’s economy. Representatives of Detroit areas co-operatives will also talk about their co-op efforts. We’re proud to be involved in this event, and hope you will attend.
