MCHR Participates in Multifaith Unity Event in Wake of Pittsburgh Synagogue Shooting

Religious leaders from different faiths hosted a call for unity event at the Islamic House of Wisdom in Dearborn Heights on Thursday.

The interfaith gathering was called to promote unity within the Muslim, Jewish and Christian communities and put an end to hateful rhetoric that inspires violence.

MCHR Board Member Frank Joyce to Speak about White Nationalism at 7 p.m. on December 13 at St. Peter’s Church in Detroit

Date: Dec. 13th, 2018 @7pm

To mark International Human Rights Day, Frank Joyce will present “A Treatment Plan for White Nationalism” at 7 p.m. on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at St. Peters Episcopal Church. Joyce, a noted Detroit activist and author, is a long-time member of the MCHR Board of Directors. He helped found People Against Racism (PAR) and has been involved with labor, anti-racist, human rights and peace initiatives and campaigns since the early 1960s.

St. Peter’s Episcopal Church is located at 1950 Trumball Avenue, Detroit, Mich. 48216.
